Paris – After the EU summit with Western Balkan countries in Paris, PM Rama said there is support for continuing the integration processes and for the infrastructure funding in Albania and the region.

“We are happy for the maximal evaluation given to the seriousness shown by the Albanian government in this phase of the program. We are even more happy that our message to not stop with the integration processes has received positive feedback. Chancellor Merkel and President Hollande showed their determination to progress with the EU integration process”, Rama declared.

PM Rama said that another project they agreed with for the Western Balkan countries will start in September.

“A plan for removing fee barriers will make it easier for trade and transportation between our countries. This is a plan that we have proposed, based on the positive experience between Albania and Kosovo. This plan was embraced immediately by Serbia and other countries in the region. We are preparing to launch it altogether this September, convinced that it will have a positive impact in trade and in our economies”, Rama specified.

Another important point was an agreement for establishing the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation. This office will be established in Tirana and will fund project that increase cooperation in our region, and also the chances for professional qualifications.
