Zürich – FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) Disciplinary Committee has decided to penalize Albania for a procedure mistake.
The decision awards Luxembourg a 3-0 win on the table.
The match in question is the 29 March 2016 match between Albania and Luxembourg, which was won by Albania 2-0.
Playing in this match was also Ergys Kace. Earlier, in a friendly match against Austria, he had received a red card.
For this, Albania has been penalized today and issued a fine of 6 thousand euros. Albanian Football Association says that this had occurred due to carelessness or lack of knowledge of the regulation.
The Disciplinary Committee has considered the fact a player who was given a red card in a previous game, although a friendly one, a violation of FIFA’s article 55.
