FIFA has decided to reward clubs that allow their players to participate in the 2026 World Cup, making available a record fund of about 355 million dollars.

Within the “FIFA Benefits” program, each club will receive at least $5,000 per day for each player collected by its national team during the tournament.

In addition to this basic amount, additional bonuses are also foreseen that will are calculated based on the activations in the match and the minutes played by the footballers.

According to FIFA, the final amount that each club will benefit will be determined only after the end of the competition, when all the participation data of the players have been calculated.

The fund dedicated to the clubs has increased significantly compared to the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

The increase amounts to about 70 per percent, reflecting FIFA’s commitment to compensate clubs that contribute players to national team activities.

Almost a third of the total fund is reserved for the period of qualifying matches.
