On March 14, a grand iftar was organized in Mitrovica, attended by over 500 citizens. Iftar was held in the hall of the “Va Piano” restaurant.
This iftar was served by the humanist from Mitrovica, who lives and works in Turkey, Mr. Mahmut Çınar with his compatriots.
Birthplace is like a deep root in the heart. Even when life takes you far, to the corners, it remains there alive, strong, unforgotten. The roads we walk, the cities we live in, the languages we hear every day may change, but the memory of the place where the first were born never fades.
The family remains the light that guides us. Neither time nor distance erases memories with them. They are the strength that keeps us on our feet in the difficult days of exile.
The Albanian humanist Mahmut Çınar was educated in this spirit!
Various figures from the city participated in this event, while the evening was accompanied by a diverse cultural and spiritual program. The program included recitation from the Holy Quran and spiritual duas, ilahi, useful lectures and speeches, as well as artistic items with national motifs.
All this made up a special model of an Islamic and national performance, reflecting in a dignified manner our Albanian, Islamic and European identity on the same pedestal.
Among the artistic highlights was the performance of a little girl, the granddaughter of the legendary Jashari family from Prekazi, who with her performance moved the audience and made this evening even more special and unforgettable.
The organizers thanked all the participants for their presence, as well as the grandparents for their lifelong friendship, Irfan Krasniqi, Hamit Kamberi, Sadik Avdiu and Besim Kurti, together with their students, for their contribution and commitment to the realization of this activity.
