The First Lady of Turkey at the panel “A heart for Palestine” in Antalya

The First Lady of Turkey, Emine Erdoğan, participated in a high-level panel on the theme “A Heart for Palestine” during the Antalya Diplomatic Forum 2026.

On Saturday, the panel gathered political figures and representatives of international organizations, in a sign of solidarity with the Palestinians.

In addition to the speeches of the participants, a video message was also broadcast by Israeli historian Ilan Pappé of the University of Exeter.

The event ended with a family photo, after which Erdoğan and her guests visited an exhibition organized on the same theme.

In a post on her NSosyal account, Erdoğan said that the participants united around a “common conscience”, along with the wives of leaders, ministers and international representatives from different countries.

She thanked the participants for their support for Palestine and expressed the hope that this solidarity will bring “sustainable and meaningful results”.

The event gathered prominent participants, including the Minister of Family and Social Services of Turkey, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, as well as the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, as part of the forum.

The First Vice President of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as the wives of the leaders also participated. high political figures from several countries, including the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Among the international participants were the Ambassador of Palestine in Ankara, Nasri Abu Jaish, as well as the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General on Violence against Children, Najat Maalla M’jid.

Former leaders also participated in this activity, such as the former president of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, and the former president of Kyrgyzstan, Roza Otunbayeva, as well as Leyla Aliyeva, the daughter of the president of Azerbaijan.

World leaders and senior government officials are meeting in Türkiye until Sunday for this forum, a major international gathering in the southern Mediterranean city focused this year on managing global insecurity.

The forum, held under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, takes place under the theme “Shaping tomorrow by managing uncertainties”.
