Turkey’s flag-carrier to be official airline sponsor of UEFA Champions League for a period of three years.
Turkish Airlines will be the official airline sponsor of the UEFA Champions League for a term of three years, the company announced Tuesday.
“The board of directors has decided that Turkish Airlines will be the official airline sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, which is considered one of the most prestigious football leagues in the world,” the Turkish flag carrier said in a statement.
The sponsorship will last for a term of three years, and aims to “contribute to our global brand awareness and brand perception,” the statement added.
Based in Nyon, Switzerland, the Union of European Football Associations is the governing body of European football, and a continental confederation of the world football governing body FIFA, which is based in Zurich.
UEFA Champions League is one of the most prestigious and watched tournaments in the world, played between the best football clubs in Europe.
