Historically, she has been portrayed in ways that only a pharaoh would. However, no one has officially found her tomb, leaving her role during a period of intense turmoil among the greatest mysteries in ancient Egyptian history.<\/p>\n<p>Hawass and his team recently excavated in the eastern Valley of the Kings, near the burial site of Hatshepsut, a powerful pharaoh who ruled between 1479 and 1458 BC.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a lack of evidence. concrete, Hawass, star of the television series Chasing Mummies, has a strong feeling that the queen may have been buried there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are currently working in an area in the eastern valley, near the tomb of Queen Hatshepsut,\u201d Hawass said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope this could be the tomb of Queen Nefertiti &#8230; this discovery could happen soon,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Hawass has been digging. in the region for years and has discovered two tombs in particular, KV 65 and KV 66.
