The American aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford has entered the Mediterranean Sea, as part of a large gathering of American military forces in the Middle East. The ship was seen passing through the Strait of Gibraltar, which connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n
According to reports, its dispatch was ordered by US President Donald Trump, who has stated that he is “considering” the possibility of a limited strike on Iran if negotiations for a new nuclear deal with Tehran fail.
