While the most important match in Kosovo’s football history is approaching, the national team will suffer the injury of one of its most important players, Leon Avdullah.<\/p>\n
The Hoffenheim midfielder has suffered a muscle injury in training and will be out of action for several weeks, announced today the coach of the German team Christian Ilzer.<\/p>\n
This is certainly a heavy blow for Kosovo and for Hoffenheim, as the central midfielder plays a key role, acting as a link between different parts of the national team, but also the club.<\/p>\n
“Leon’s absence is definitely important,” said Ilzer, “he just plays a central role in our balance, in building our game and also in defense with his positioning. Whether it’s counter-pressing or quickly organizing a defensive block, he just occupies a key place.”<\/p>\n
Abdullah has not taken it well the injury due, in particular, to the loss of the decisive duel with Kosovo, announced the Hoffenheim coach at the press conference before the next match in the Bundesliga.<\/p>\n
“This is obviously something that Leon is not accepting well, but it is a fact, it happened and now we just have to make the most of it and get him back to full form as soon as possible”, said Ilzer.<\/p>\n
The match between Kosovo and Slovakia takes place on Thursday, March 26, starting at 20:45 in Bratislava.\u00a0<\/p>\n
