The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren announces to the public opinion that in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, after the investigations carried out in relation to the case, on 02.04.2026 they have carried out an action in Prizren, where a drug laboratory for the cultivation of the narcotic cannabis sativa plant has been discovered, and two suspects have been arrested, as well as about 300 cannabis sativa plants cultivated in the laboratory have been destroyed.<\/p>\n
In the announcement of the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren it is said that with these actions, the same are suspected of having committed the criminal offenses “Cultivation of hashish plant, cocaine bush or cannabis plants” from article 272, “Unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of narcotics, psychotropic and analogous substances”, from article 267, and “Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons” from article 366, according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
The defendant is in detention for 48 hours, and for the same the Prosecutor’s Office has submitted a request for the determination of the measure of detention.<\/p>\n
