Growth is further fueled by high oil prices, which have risen to more than $100 a barrel following the conflict in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>A key role is played by the large Stabroek deposit, which is being developed by a consortium led by ExxonMobil. Production could soon reach almost one million barrels per day, while it is estimated that total oil revenues in 2026 could reach up to $33 billion.<\/p>\n<p>President Irfaan Ali seeks to balance economic growth with political stability, while promising investment in infrastructure and adaptation to climate change.<\/p>\n<p>However, accelerated development also carries risks.
