At the “Altera” bookstore in Prizren, a discussion was held with the author Ben Blushi about his book “Jam Muslim”, reports Gazeta e Prizren.<\/p>\n
The author spoke about the book and indicated that one of the motivations for writing it was the case of a neighbor who, although he was an atheist, had hesitated, but because of personal circumstances, had become a Muslim.<\/p>\n
The book deals with sensitive and complex topics related to identity. religious, cultural and historical of the Albanians, offering a critical and provocative point of view.<\/p>\n
According to the author, the novel tells the story of a writer who, after many personal vicissitudes, decides to embrace the Islamic religion. His views on Islam change over time, especially after a visit to Mecca, where he experiences a profound spiritual transformation. However, he said that if an Albanian considers Skenderbeu an enemy, then he is not Muslim but Islamic.<\/p>\n
Blushi emphasized that the danger lies when religion is placed over the state, clarifying that the book is against Sharia, and not against Islam. “I very much hope that the novel will be read as it is, that is, as literature and nothing else”, he said.<\/p>\n
Professor and creator Agim Vinca also spoke on this occasion, who, among other things, said that even the great Renaissance man Naim Frashri, although he lived in Istanbul, wrote the work “Historia e Skenderbeu”.<\/p>\n
