He first appeared in the dock in December 2024 while prosecutors began questioning him in June 2025 after 36 hearings led by the defense, the report said.

The trial is largely focused on Case 4000, which centers on allegations of regulatory favors in exchange for favorable media coverage, which Netanyahu has denied, the newspaper added. Netanyahu faces charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust in three cases known as Cases 1000, 2000 and 4000. Prosecutors filed charges in the cases in November 2019.

Case 4000 involves allegations that Netanyahu advanced regulatory rulings to benefit Shaul Elovitch, the former owner of the Walla news website and a former executive at the company telecommunications Bezeq, in exchange for positive coverage.

In addition to the corruption trial, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant in November 2024 against Netanyahu on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

We use cookies to improve the experience and display ads (Google AdSense).
By clicking “Accept”, you agree to the use of cookies according to
Privacy Policy
and
Cookies Policy.
You can reject non-necessary cookies by clicking “Reject”.

Source: prizrenpost

A hearing scheduled for today in the criminal trial of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was postponed for “security-diplomatic reasons,” delaying his return to the witness stand, according to a report late Sunday from The Jerusalem Post, Anadolu reports.
