The Light Infantry Battalion Group (LPBG) of the North Macedonian Army has been assessed as “ready for war to carry out its mission” after the completion of the assessment process carried out according to NATO standards, reports Anadolu.<\/p>\n

The assessment was carried out today at the “Pepelishte” training camp, after the completion of the national field training activities “BLESOK 26” and the completion of the last event from the main list of events and incidents.<\/p>\n

According to the announcement by the country’s army, the evaluation teams and NATO monitors confirmed that the unit meets all the standards envisaged for the commands and ground units of the NATO Joint Operations Command.<\/p>\n

The senior NATO monitor, Colonel Hristos Stamatiu from the NATO Rapid Deployment Corps – Greece (NRDC-GR), emphasized that the process of the assessment was carried out in a very professional and competent manner, adding that the members of the assessment team were fully familiar with the relevant NATO methods and procedures.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the director of the assessment team, Lt. Col. Goran Kimov, stated that it is an honor and pride that the LPBG completed the assessment with the highest results, emphasizing that the members of the unit showed excellent results and fulfilled all the criteria and standards of the assessment.<\/p>\n

At the ceremony announcing the the commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan \u010cipllakovski, also participated in the evaluation, who thanked the participants in the exercise and the NATO monitors for the professionalism shown during the performance of the tasks.<\/p>\n

The army emphasized that with this successful evaluation, the Light Infantry Battalion Group has confirmed the high level of combat readiness and interoperability with allies, contributing to the strengthening of capacities of the Army and NATO.<\/p>\n
