At least 11 Palestinians were killed and several others wounded on Friday in Israeli attacks that hit multiple areas in the Gaza Strip, in continued violations of a ceasefire in place since October 2025.<\/p>\n
In a statement, Gaza’s Interior Ministry said seven people – two officers, two police assistants and three civilians – were killed when an Israeli strike hit a police vehicle in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n
In northern Gaza, a woman and a child were killed and six others were wounded in an Israeli attack that hit houses near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, medical sources told Anadolu.<\/p>\n
Earlier, two Palestinian officers were killed and two others were wounded in an Israeli attack that hit a police patrol near Sheikh Radwan Police Station in Gaza City, according to the Ministry. In a separate statement, the ministry condemned what it described as the “continued silence” of international organizations, especially the International Committee of the Red Cross, regarding the targeting of civilian police personnel.<\/p>\n
It said this constituted “complicity that encourages further violations against a civilian structure protected under international law,” stressing that there is no justification for targeting police forces in Gaza, which it says provide essential services to residents across the enclave.<\/p>\n
Medical sources and eyewitnesses said the attacks hit areas outside Israeli military deployment zones under the ceasefire agreement.<\/p>\n
The attack comes amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in place since October 2025, after a war that left more than 72,000 Palestinians dead and over 172,000 injured, most of them women and children.<\/p>\n
On April 14, the Gaza government’s media office said in a statement that Israel had committed 2,400 ceasefire violations, including killings, arrests, blockade measures and starvation policies.<\/p>\n
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the ongoing violations have resulted in the deaths of 972 Palestinians and the wounding of 2,235. to others.<\/p>\n
