The Israeli military has warned residents of several villages in southern Lebanon not to return, citing continued military activity despite a cease-fire that was extended this week, Anadolu reports.<\/p>\n

“No approach is allowed to the area of the Litani River, Salhani Valley and Saluki,” Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee said on the American social network X, listing more than 50 villages.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it struck three different areas in southern Lebanon overnight, claiming to have targeted Hezbollah rocket launchers.<\/p>\n

Lebanon’s state news agency said the town of Houla in the Marjayoun area was also hit by Israeli artillery fire.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump said Israel and Lebanon agreed to extend the ceasefire for another three weeks, after a second round of high-level negotiations at the White House.<\/p>\n

A 10-day ceasefire was originally announced on April 16, which was also violated by Israel.<\/p>\n
