The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, has welcomed the presentation of a resolution in the Congress of the United States of America, which supports Kosovo’s membership in NATO.<\/p>\n
In her reaction, she has emphasized the importance of this initiative and expressed gratitude to congressmen Keith Self, Ritchie Torres and Mike Lawler for, as she expressed, leadership and continuous support to Kosovo on its way Euro-Atlantic.<\/p>\n
“Thanks to Representatives Keith Self, Ritchie Torres and Mike Lawler for their leadership and for the continuous support for Kosovo to take its rightful place in the Euro-Atlantic family”, stated Haxhiu.<\/p>\n
We recall that a resolution was presented in the US House of Representatives by Congressmen Keith Self, Ritchie Torres and Mike Lawler that strongly supports Kosovo’s membership in NATO. The document evaluates Kosovo’s democratic system and stability, emphasizing its strategic importance in the region.<\/p>\n
The resolution states that Kosovo’s membership would help strengthen security in Southeastern Europe and curb destabilizing influences. Also, it is emphasized that the lack of recognition by some NATO member countries remains an obstacle to its integration process.<\/p>\n
“Kosovo has shown commitment to regional stability and rapprochement with NATO countries, but its progress is being hindered by the lack of recognition by some allies. The addition of Kosovo to the alliance is important for dealing with the influence of opponents in Europe”, declared Congressman Keith Self.\/teve1<\/p>\n
