In Prizren, today marks the traditional holiday known as “Karabash Day”, which is celebrated in the context of St. George, writes Gazeta e Prizren.<\/p>\n
Citizens not only from Prizren and its surroundings, but also from beyond, including the northern parts of Albania, as usual, use this day to perform various religious rites, but also to walk and buy various things.<\/p>\n
In the context of the celebration, hundreds of people in city, they visit the cemeteries of their relatives and perform religious rites in the tombs here.<\/p>\n
Gurabis with mirrors are a part worshiped by children as part of the tradition.<\/p>\n
The celebration is characterized by numerous games, then an influx of visitors, mainly in large fields, near the tombs, the city park or some ancient settlement, reports “Gazeta e Prizren”.<\/p>\n
This celebration in several villages of Has and those of the Dukagjin Plain are organized near sacred tombs, near which lambs are slaughtered.<\/p>\n
The celebration of this holiday continues until midnight, when many citizens, including young kites, go for a walk in the city, while the center of Prizren is usually full like never before.<\/p>\n
From what is being seen, it can be said that every year there is a fading of the atmosphere that is created in this city.<\/p>\n
