The Kosovo Police, in close cooperation with the Kosovo Customs, has successfully carried out an operation at the Hani i Elezit border crossing point, preventing a case of undeclared gold smuggling.<\/p>\n

At around 16:10 today, on the basis of intelligence, the police announced that a regular Serbia-North Macedonia bus, driven by a citizen of Serbia, with the initials M.L..<\/p>\n

“During the detailed check, various gold ornaments (pendants and rings) were discovered in the bag of a passenger (J.H.), hidden in a closed bag. Also, several bracelets and a gold medallion were found hidden in the bus driver’s jacket.”<\/p>\n

“The total weight of the seized gold is 129.76 gram. The same was not declared and was confiscated by the customs authorities for further procedures, while the value will be determined by the relevant units of the Kosovo Customs.<\/p>\n
