Kujtim Gashi from the PDK branch in Prizren confirmed that he will not be a candidate for MP, reports Gazeta e Prizren.<\/p>\n
He announced through a post on his Facebook profile where he wrote:<\/p>\n
There are moments in life and in politics when the most difficult decisions are also those that require more responsibility. Today I want to inform you that I will not be a candidate for deputy in the June 7 elections.<\/p>\n
What happened after the last elections in Prizren has left many of us disappointed. It was heartbreaking to see the effort, faith and commitment of so many people called into question by a process that didn’t feel fair. And this, obviously, has also left a mark on me personally.<\/p>\n
For me, politics has never been just about position or personal ambition. It has been relationships with people, mutual trust and responsibility towards everyone that has supported me on this journey. Therefore, at this moment I felt that the right decision is to take a step back from the race, but not from the commitment.<\/p>\n
I am not leaving. I’m not giving up. I am simply choosing to contribute differently in this period, with the same dedication and the same love for Prizren and Kosovo.<\/p>\n
I do not hide that this period has been emotionally difficult. However, your support, trust and messages have given me the strength to continue with the same commitment.<\/p>\n
Even though I will not be a candidate, my commitment will continue with the same intensity. I will be close to our candidates, close to activists and close to every citizen who believes that Prizren and Kosovo deserve more justice, more dignity and more hope.<\/p>\n
My commitment to Prizren, to Kosovo and to PDK remains unwavering. Because this journey has never been just mine, it has been ours. And precisely for this reason, it does not end here.<\/p>\n
I sincerely thank you for the trust, respect and support you have always given me. Together we have gone through many challenges and together we will continue to move forward, with dignity, confidence and pride.<\/p>\n
