France&#8217;s Court of Cassation rejected his appeal in November, making the decision final.<\/p>\n<p>The case marked Sarkozy&#8217;s second final conviction, following a three-year sentence \u2014 including a year under electronic surveillance \u2014 for corruption and illicit influence in the Bismuth case. This decision became final in December 2024.
