The evening hours were full of many developments in Skenderaj. The Kosovo Police went with the Special Unit to this municipality, a few hours after the incident where Sami Lushtaku beat Hysni Mehani of VV.<\/p>\n
However, the large presence of the Special Unit was not well received. People took to the streets, while the Police were justified by operational needs.<\/p>\n
The Special Unit of Kosovo has carried out an action in Skenderaj, where several people have been detained.<\/p>\n
Ganimete Musliu has reacted to the situation in Skenderaj, accusing the government of abusing state institutions. She has called on Albin Kurti to withdraw the special forces from Skenderaj.<\/p>\n
“The use of state institutions and the apparatus of power against a municipality just because you can’t infiltrate it constitutes a serious abuse of power. Such actions deepen divisions, incite tensions and contribute directly to an environment where violence is normalized. Albin should not incite violence, withdraw the special forces from Skenderaj.<\/p>\n
The Deputy Mayor of Skenderaj, Fadil Nura, reacted after members of the Special Unit were seen in this city.<\/p>\n
on Facebook, he said that any atmosphere of tension or curfew there awakens memories that the country has paid dearly for.<\/p>\n
“Tonight, at midnight, in the “Adem Jashari” Freedom Square in Skenderaj, many can feel the weight of a heavy symbolism. Not because history is repeating itself, nor because the times are the same, but because every atmosphere of tension and curfew in this city awakens memories that this country has paid dearly for.
\nWhen citizens start to feel pressure where they should feel freedom, then every power must reflect”, he wrote.<\/p>\n
In some footage where Ganimete Musliu is seen talking to a police officer, she tells him that routine checks are being carried out. While all the cars were 01, not 02 region to which Sk\u00ebnderaj belongs.<\/p>\n
The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovica announced yesterday that Sami Lushtaku did not respond to the invitation for interview.<\/p>\n
“Also, five (5) witnesses were interviewed as victims H.M. and B.Z., as well as two (2) suspects with the initials E.L., and B.N., who by the prosecutor’s decision have been detained for forty-eight (48) hours, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Slight Bodily Injury”. Meanwhile, two (2) other suspects in this case with the initials S.L. and K.H. have not responded to the invitation for interview until now,” the announcement states.<\/p>\n
