Six Serbian parties and movements in Kosovo have joined in a new political coalition named “Together we win”, to compete in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Kosovo.<\/p>\n

The coalition consists of Serbian Democracy, Serbian People’s Movement, the civic initiatives “North for All” and “Roots”, Alliance for Kosovo and “New Face”.<\/p>\n

In their first joint statement, coalition representatives said that the union came as a result of the “seriousness of the political moment” and the position of the Serbian community in Kosovo.<\/p>\n

According to them, unity, responsibility and joint action are necessary for building a stronger political front on the Serbian scene in Kosovo.<\/p>\n

This coalition aims to present itself as a third political alternative, in front of Lista Serbe, which is supported by Belgrade, and Nenad Ra\u0161i\u0107’s party, “For Freedom, Justice and Survival” (ZSPO), which is currently part of the institutions in Prishtina.<\/p>\n

Political analyst Du\u0161an Janji\u0107, in a statement for the Serbian medium Danas, said that the upcoming elections will be an important test for the Serbs in Kosovo.<\/p>\n

According to him, Serbian citizens must decide whether they will continue to wait for “the sinking of the ship and then leave”, or take political responsibility into their own hands.<\/p>\n

Janji\u0107 appreciated that the new coalition may target the electorate that was once represented by the late politician Oliver Ivanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n

However, he added that Belgrade’s financial influence on the Serbs in Kosovo continues to be great, while he also mentioned the influence of structures linked to Milan Radoi\u010di\u0107 and Zvonko Veselinovi\u0107, which according to him continue to support Lista Serbe.<\/p>\n

The Serbian analyst said that the “Together We Win” coalition faces a challenge difficult in the June 7 elections, but added that securing some seats in the Assembly would be important for creating a wider political representation of Serbs in Kosovo.<\/p>\n

He also emphasized that Nenad Ra\u0161i\u0107 is expected to maintain support in the Anamorava region, given his political experience and participation in Kosovo’s institutions.<\/p>\n

In the end, Janji\u0107 said that these elections may determine whether Serbs in Kosovo will continue to rely on Belgrade’s current policy or will they require a new political and institutional approach in Kosovo.<\/p>\n
