Israeli authorities on Wednesday issued demolition orders for eight Palestinian houses and structures in the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied East Quds, on the pretext of illegal construction.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the Governor of Quds said the orders targeted houses and structures in the Tablas area.<\/p>\n

According to the governor, the demolition orders included Khaled’s house. Abdullah Abu Hamdan, a car wash facility owned by Ali Mohammad Ahmad Rizq, a carpentry workshop owned by Nadi Mohammad Ahmad Rizq, a grocery store owned by Ahmad Mohammad Ahmad Rizq and other structures.<\/p>\n

The notices also included three houses belonging to the sons of Ahmad Salama, Mohammad Abdullah Qasem and the sons of Salama Abdullah Qasem, he added.<\/p>\n

Israeli demolition campaigns targeting homes and Palestinian structures in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem have been escalated as part of policies aimed at pressuring Palestinians to leave their homes and lands in favor of settlement expansion.<\/p>\n

Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli forces destroyed residential structures and livestock shelters in the Ain al-Hilweh area of the northern Jordan Valley, in addition to a cement factory in the village of Kharbatha Bani. Harith west of Ramallah.<\/p>\n

According to figures from the Palestinian Commission Against the Wall and Settlements, Israeli authorities carried out 37 demolition operations in April targeting 78 structures, including 37 residential homes, while issuing demolition notices for 21 other structures.<\/p>\n

The operations have coincided with a continued Israeli military escalation in the West Bank, including killings, arrests and raids. in cities and towns involving house searches and property destruction since the Gaza war began in October 2023.<\/p>\n

Since then, attacks by the Israeli military and occupiers in the West Bank have killed 1,162 Palestinians, wounded some 12,245 and led to nearly 23,000 arrests, according to official figures.<\/p>\n
