Six people, including two paramedics, were killed today in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese national news agency (NNA), reports Anadolu.<\/p>\n
In the latest attacks, two paramedics were killed while carrying out their “humanitarian duty” in Deir Qanoun al-Nahr in Tyre, NNA reported, citing the Risala Islamic Association. An Israeli warplane targeted a position belonging to the Islamic Health Authority in the village of Hanouiyeh in Tyre, killing four people and wounding two paramedics.<\/p>\n
The agency added that three other people were wounded in an attack that targeted the Hafour area between the villages of Siddiqine and Qana. The attack came a day after an Israeli airstrike caused significant damage to a hospital in the southern city of Tebnine.<\/p>\n
According to NNA, two people were killed and a third injured after an Israeli warplane struck near the Tebnine hospital. At least 16 hospitals have been damaged in Israeli attacks in Lebanon since March 2, figures released by the Lebanese Ministry of Health showed.<\/p>\n
Official data revealed that at least 116 people were killed and 263 wounded in attacks targeting doctors and ambulance crews during the same period. At least 3,089 people have been killed, 9,397 wounded and more than 1.6 million displaced since Israeli attacks began in March, according to Lebanese officials.<\/p>\n
Israeli attacks continue across Lebanon despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire that officially took effect on April 17 and was later extended until early July.<\/p>\n
