Activist Baki Goxhaj, invited to the Apostrophe Podcast by Bjorn Runa, said that the decision of the Israeli forces to intercept the flotilla much earlier, reflects not only a security calculation on their part, but also the determination of the state of Israel to make sure that no boat, however small, would reach the shores of Gaza, or even create the idea of breaking the blockade. But all this has simultaneously created a strange reality with a conflict zone over which control is extended far from Gaza, in the depths of international waters. the interception of the communication systems and the arrest of him and other activists. Goxhaj says that the flotilla failed to fulfill its practical mission – sending aid to Gaza – but stresses that this does not make the mission a failure. On the contrary, he says that at a time when wars are being consumed on social networks, the obligation of the world to pay attention to them may be in itself a political achievement.<\/p>\n
