The head of the LVV, Albin Kurti, who intends not to move from power, was asked about the capital projects during his government for six years.<\/p>\n
In the last interview, the acting prime minister was asked to count these projects that he is proud of, but it is not that he had much to say.<\/p>\n
He asked not to be compared “with the mentality of those (former governments),” because “I have worked to lift people out of poverty.”<\/p>\n
Kurti said that his motto “employment and justice” has made his governing success “no, highways, like them.”<\/p>\n
He said this despite international data: the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank rank Kosovo as the poorest country after Moldova.<\/p>\n
According to the same data, 33.7% of the population remains below the threshold comparison of 8 dollars a day, while over 10% remain in extreme poverty, figures many times higher than in the region.<\/p>\n
Kurti said that capital investments have not been his orientation and that he does not see them as an end in themselves.<\/p>\n
He said that for him an expenditure that creates jobs is important, adding “We have created 85 thousand jobs.”<\/p>\n
Further, in his statement in Kanal10, the chairman of VV also said that “Highways are very useful, they have been super expensive, unfairly, with many corrupt elements that should result in indictments.”<\/p>\n
At this point, as an achievement, he emphasized that “What we have done: over 800 kilometers of roads in the villages and another 870 km have been laid, of which 100 km are in the north of Kosovo.”<\/p>\n
“Investments I explained to them what the next mandate will be: dams, railways, gasification, mines. Now we have to lift people out of poverty,” he said<\/p>\n
