{"id":39999,"date":"2026-06-01T13:55:37","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T11:55:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prizrenpost.com\/en\/china-to-send-humanitarian-aid-to-dr-congo-due-to-ebola-outbreak\/"},"modified":"2026-06-01T13:55:38","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T11:55:38","slug":"china-to-send-humanitarian-aid-to-dr-congo-due-to-ebola-outbreak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prizrenpost.com\/en\/china-to-send-humanitarian-aid-to-dr-congo-due-to-ebola-outbreak\/","title":{"rendered":"China to send humanitarian aid to DR Congo due to Ebola outbreak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/prizrenpost.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/thumbs_b_c_06eb58c5209973cdbf9a1ed00f3bb789.jpg\" style=\"width:100%;height:auto;margin-bottom:20px\"><\/p>\n<p>China said today that it will send emergency medical aid to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to fight an Ebola outbreak, reports Anadolu.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Chinese government has decided to provide emergency humanitarian aid to the DRC and in particular to send teams of medical experts for medical services and assistance,&#8221; Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian told reporters in Beijing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We feel regret to the DRC for the latest Ebola outbreak,&#8221; Lin said, adding that China is providing assistance to the African Union Commission against Ebola as well as the African Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.<\/p>\n<p>At least 134 confirmed cases have been reported in the current outbreak in Congo and Uganda, according to an update released Friday by the World Health Organization (WHO).<\/p>\n<p>Ebola deaths are 18 among confirmed cases in both countries.
