The bill includes a possible election period between September 8 and October 20, Israeli news website Walla reported.<\/p>\n<p>The ultra-Orthodox Shas party is pushing for elections on September 15, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu&#8217;s Likud party wants to push the date to the end of the term.<\/p>\n<p>Legislative elections in Israel were originally scheduled for October 27, but the government&#8217;s failure to passed a law that exempts ultra-Orthodox Jews from military service has increased pressure for an early vote.<\/p>\n<p>According to Israeli law, the bill must pass three readings to become law.<\/p>\n<p>Walla said the bill will return to a Knesset committee after it passes first reading, in preparation for voting on second and third readings and setting a date for the elections.<\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin:30px 0\">\n<p style=\"font-size:13px;color:#666\">Source: <strong>prizrenpost<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Israel&#8217;s parliament (Knesset) approved late Monday the first reading of a bill on self-dissolution, reports Anadolu.
