What we ask is to be treated like everyone else, to be evaluated according to the Copenhagen criteria and to be given the opportunity to focus on reforms and the rule of law, instead of bilateral issues&#8221;, said the president of North Macedonia.<\/p>\n<p>Siljanovska-Davkova added that the integration of the Western Balkans is not only a political issue, but also an issue security and strategic, especially in the face of global geopolitical challenges and growing armed conflicts.<\/p>\n<p>The President of Slovakia, Pellegrini said that his country supports the European perspective of North Macedonia.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Slovakia supports the European perspective of North Macedonia and does so as a friend, partner and ally. But, at the same time, we clearly state that the enlargement process must be fair, predictable and based on the same rules that apply to all candidates&#8221;, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini said at the press conference after the meeting with Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, who is on an official visit to Slovakia.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, both North Macedonia and the region in which it is a part are very important for all of Europe and that it should be expanded, above all, in terms of stability.
