The CEC has announced the progress of the activities at the Center of Counting and Results, where the process of evaluating the packages with supposed ballots from voting outside Kosovo, namely from voting by mail that have been brought to Kosovo so far, is continuing. The goal is to verify if these packages were sent by voters registered for voting by mail.<\/p>\n
“Until the end of Wednesday (June 10, 2026), more than 23 thousand and 300 packages were included in the evaluation process, of which 22,601 were approved, while 755 were rejected. The most expressed reason why these packages were rejected is because in 699 cases they are missing the registration receipt, a document with unique data, which the registered voter receives from the CEC”, said Elezi.<\/p>\n
According to the CEC, this process started on June 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. and aims to verify whether these packages have been sent to registered voters. At the end of this assessment process, the CEC will publish the data on the number of packages with supposed ballots, which will be counted in the Counting and Results Center.<\/p>\n
During Monday, June 8, the process of withdrawing the packages with ballots that belong to voting outside Kosovo, namely voting by mail, was completed. Ballot packages were withdrawn from CEC mailboxes in 22 different countries as well as from the CEC mailbox in Kosovo. From 23 mailboxes, more than 85,700 supposed packages with ballots were withdrawn, some of which were brought to Kosovo.<\/p>\n
During the registration period (May 6 \u2013 May 17, 2026) the number of citizens registered to vote by mail in the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo is 104,480 voters.<\/p>\n
