The Kosovo Police announces that today around 07:50, the Operations Center of the General Directorate of the Kosovo Police received a call to the official number, from a person who communicated in the Serbian language, falsely claiming that an explosive device (bomb) was placed at the Bus Station in Pristina.<\/p>\n
Immediately after receiving the information, the Kosovo Police reacted according to operational procedures for cases of such. The patrol units of the Jugu Police Station immediately went to the scene, evacuated the citizens, secured the perimeter and took all the necessary measures to guarantee public safety. At the same time, specialized police units such as the Explosive Device Handling Unit, K9 Unit, police station investigators, regional investigators and other relevant units of the Kosovo Police were engaged. Firefighting units, ambulances and the Emergency Department of the Municipality of Pristina also assisted at the scene.<\/p>\n
After a complete and detailed check of the building and the surrounding area by specialized units, no suspect vehicle or explosive device was found. After the completion of the security procedures, the Bus Station has reopened and normal operation has continued.<\/p>\n
Regarding the case, the competent prosecutor has been notified, who has authorized the initiation of the case for the criminal offense of “False notification or report”, while investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n
This case is directly related to the false threat dated 22.06.2026, which targeted the same object.
\nThe intensive investigations carried out by the Kosovo Police, namely by the Directorate of Cybercrime Investigation, have shown that both calls were made from the same telephone number in Serbia. Also, during the technical and investigative analysis, evidence and other electronic data were obtained that connect these cases to each other and that are already part of the investigative procedure.<\/p>\n
The Kosovo Police has built advanced professional and technical capacities in the field of cyber investigations and tracking of criminal communications, including social networks. Experience has proven that perpetrators who try to hide behind anonymous phone calls, electronic applications, fake profiles or actions from other countries are identified and no perpetrator remains anonymous.<\/p>\n
The Kosovo Police will use all legal, professional tools and international cooperation mechanisms to identify and bring before the justice bodies any person who tries to violate public security and create fear among the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
