According to the announcement of the Prosecutor’s Office, the defendants, in the capacity of official persons, in two separate cases during 2022 in Gjakov\u00eb, acted in cooperation by asking for and accepting bribes from business owners, in order not to act in accordance with their official duties, reports Klankosova.tv.<\/p>\n

The indictment specifies that in each of the two cases, D.N. and E.Q. have requested and accepted from 300 euros, as compensation for not undertaking the actions that were due to them according to their official duties.<\/p>\n

“With these actions, the defendants D.N. and E.Q., in complicity and continuity, have committed the criminal offense of “Accepting a bribe”, from article 421, paragraph 1, related to article 31 and article 77 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo”, it is stated in announcement.<\/p>\n

The prosecutor of the case has proposed to the Court that, after examining the case, the defendants should be declared guilty and punished according to the law. In addition, the imposition of a complementary punishment, namely the prohibition of exercising functions in the public administration or in the public service, has been requested.<\/p>\n
