The graduation of the 2026 generation of cadets of the Kosovo Security Force was accompanied by pledges for new investments in the defense sector and calls for dedication to the state.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister in office, Albin Kurti, said that in the next mandate, the aim is to invest 1 billion euros in defense, build an ammunition factory and increase the number of girls as part of the army.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that, in addition to modern equipment and investments, the most important element of the army remains the soldiers who are prepared and dedicated to the homeland.<\/p>\n
“From today you are not only young officers, but also the future leaders of our army. During these four years you have experienced difficulties, you have challenged yourself and you have been forced to achieve results. During this period you have been charged with high values, these values which will accompany you in every task you will have as officers of the Republic. The Government of Kosovo during these years has set defense as one among the main priorities,” said Kurti. He said that a modern army is not built only by investing in military equipment. “This is the essential component of the Security Force. To have an army prepared, trained and equipped with modern equipment is not enough if our army does not stand out with pious people who love the country more than themselves,” he said. next.<\/p>\n
“In the next mandate we will invest 1 billion euros, we will have 1,000 girls as part of our army. We will have our own factory for the production of ammunition, we will have our own ammunition, but most importantly, we will continue to have more prepared and educated soldiers than ever before, because these girls are part of our army”, he said.<\/p>\n
At the ceremony, the commander of the Center for University Studies, major Mimoza Buteci, who conveyed messages to the cadets about how they should exercise their profession.<\/p>\n
She said that officers should put the interest of the state and the institution above personal interests.<\/p>\n
“You chose to put the interests of others, the needs of the institution and others before your personal needs and interests. Therefore, do not forget that duty, honor and country should be your guides before everything the decision you will take as the head of the army”, said Buteci.<\/p>\n
