The Kosovo Statistics Agency (KASK) has published the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HCPI) for the month of June 2026, according to which the annual inflation has reached 6.0 percent, while on a monthly basis a decrease of 0.1 percent has been recorded.<\/p>\n

According to the KAS, the annual increase in prices was mainly influenced by the increase in the cost of transport by 13.7 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 11.1 percent, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 5.1 percent, restaurants and accommodation services by 4.5 percent, and health by 4.1 percent.<\/p>\n

Price increases were also recorded in food and non-alcoholic beverages by 3.9 percent, personal care and various services by 3.2 percent, furniture and household appliances by 3.0 percent, clothing and footwear by 2.3 percent, recreation, sport and culture by 2.0 percent, as well as information and communication by 0.2 percent.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the annual decrease in prices was registered only in educational services, by 0.6 percent.<\/p>\n

Compared to the month of May, the consumer price index recorded an average decrease of 0.1 percent. This was mainly influenced by the decrease in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.6 percent, as well as housing, water, electricity, gas and fuels by 0.3 percent. Meanwhile, on a monthly basis, there were price increases in recreation, sports and culture (0.8 percent), educational services (0.5 percent), personal care and various services (0.4 percent), transportation (0.3 percent), alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics (0.2 percent), furniture and household appliances (0.2 percent), restaurants and accommodation services (0.2 percent), clothing and footwear (0.1 percent), as well as health (0.1 percent).<\/p>\n

ASK announces that the publication was carried out by applying the new COICOP 2018 classification, with base year 2025 = 100 and methodology of updated.<\/p>\n
