The Basic Court in Ferizaj – Department for Juveniles, has approved the request of the Basic Prosecution of Ferizaj for the appointment of a measure of detention against the minor, due to the well-founded suspicion that he has committed the criminal offenses of “attempted murder”, “assault on an official” and the criminal offense of “unauthorized possession, control or possession of weapons”.<\/p>\n

After the hearing and analyzing the documents of the case, the pre-trial judge of the Department for Juveniles – Shabi Idrizi, approved the state prosecutor’s request for the appointment of a measure of detention against the minor as based in accordance with the provisions of the KPPRK, and the same was assigned the measure of detention for a duration of thirty (30) days.<\/p>\n

According to the court, “there is suspicion based on the date 10.07.2026 at around 07:50 in Ferizaj, i.e. the City Park, which is located near the Main Post Office, the juvenile intentionally tried to take the lives of the injured persons I.M. and S.H., in such a way that he was dressed in military clothes and masked gloves and suddenly attacked the injured persons with a knife causing serious bodily injuries to the injured persons’ faces and quickly left the the place of the event. The injured were urgently sent to the Regional Hospital in Ferizaj to provide you with medical assistance”. injured persons I.M. and S.H., in Ferizaj, had fled to his grandmother where the defendant D.Gj. was, as soon as the police officers, A.U. and B.R., entered the yard and asked the minor to surrender and remove the knife from his hand, the minor resisted and attacked the police officer B.R., who was pulled away by the defendant D.Gj. and the same fell down where the minor had thrown a knife at the injured B.R., when the injured A.U. intervened, he had pushed the minor away who used the knife in an uncontrolled manner, causing bodily injury to the left side of the neck and the knife to the injured – major A.U., these injuries are described in the report of the Regional Hospital in Ferizaj dated 10.07.2026″.<\/p>\n

The court also says that on 10.07.2026, around 07:50, in Ferizaj, namely in the City Park, which is located near the main post office, the suspect possessed a kitchen knife in an unauthorized manner in violation of the applicable law (arms law, Law No. 03\/L-143, par. 1 point 20), a tool which was confiscated by the police.<\/p>\n

Also, the Court emphasizes that “cold weapon” means any tool that can be used for assault or for causing bodily injuries, using physical force by the attacker, in cases where they are held in public gatherings, in public facilities or in similar places.<\/p>\n
