During routine checks at the V\u00c3\u00abrmic\u00c3 Border Crossing Point, the customs officials of the Kosovo Customs have stopped for control a vehicle with local license plates, at the entrance to Kosovo.<\/p>\n

According to the official announcement, the atomic plane has aroused suspicions among the customs officials because of the high speed with which he was presented at the border point. During the initial interview, the driver of the vehicle stated that he did not possess any goods or monetary means that were subject to the declaration, reports Klankosova.tv.<\/p>\n

Based on the risk analysis, the customs officials carried out a detailed check of the vehicle, in which case monetary means were found with a value exceeding the legal limit. 10,000 euros, which were not declared to the customs authorities.<\/p>\n

In accordance with the legislation in force of the Republic of Kosovo for the prevention of money laundering, the financing of terrorism and with the provisions regulating the declaration of monetary assets at the border, the Customs of Kosovo has took the relevant legal measures. In this case, 25% of the amount of undeclared funds was confiscated, while for the other part, documentation and evidence was requested that prove the legal origin of the funds.<\/p>\n

The case was processed according to legal powers and the procedures will to continue until the full completion of the administrative and legal review.<\/p>\n
