According to the announcement of the Kosovo Police, the arrest took place on August 3 shortly after 22:00, when Border Police officials, during patrolling and surveillance of the border line in the area of the village of Karaqev e Poshtme, identified a suspicious vehicle. which was moving from the direction of the village of Breznic\u00c3\u00ab in Serbia towards the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
After the intervention of the police, the vehicle was stopped in the village of Novosell\u00c3\u00ab. During the check, the passenger in the vehicle, identified as Egzon Reshani, tried to avoid the police officers by running away towards the border line, namely towards the territory of Serbia, reports Klankosova.tv. The police reacted immediately and managed to stop and arrest him. the suspect near the border, preventing his departure from the territory of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
For Egzon Reshan, according to the Police, there was an active arrest warrant, as he was wanted by the justice authorities for several serious criminal offenses, including “Murder in attempt, ransom, unlawful deprivation of liberty and coercion. During the search of the arrested, the police also found and seized a knife. In this case, after consultation with the competent prosecutor, a procedure was initiated for the criminal offense of “unlawful possession of weapons”.<\/p>\n
After the Border Police completed the procedures, the suspect was handed over to the competent units of the Regional Police Directorate. in Prizren, for further actions according to the arrest warrant and the cases for which he was wanted.<\/p>\n
