According to the first estimates, it is about the lower jaw, two teeth and a possible rib. Archaeologists and paleontologists continue to search to determine the age and origin of the bones found.

The low water level also revealed the wreckage of a car that was stolen more than a decade ago in Hungary. After the vehicle was pulled from the river, police used license plates to determine it belonged to the owner who disappeared 13 years ago. His bag was also found in the vehicle, and the case again drew public attention.

Explosive devices, which are believed to have originated from World War II, were recovered from the water at several locations along the Danube. Professional services warn citizens not to touch suspicious objects they see on the banks of the river, but to immediately inform the police about them.

At the same time, work continues to remove the sunken German warships near Prahovo, which have made navigation in this part of the Danube difficult for decades.

Experts believe that the period of low water levels should be used to clean the river beds. and to remove shipwrecks that pose a danger to navigation and the environment.

Besides the discovery of valuable archaeological and historical finds, the withdrawal of water also shows the consequences of a long-term drought, which is why they warn that the preservation of river ecosystems and adaptation to climate change are increasingly important challenges for the countries through which the Danube flows. /tesheshi.com/

Source: prizrenpost

The record low water level of the Danube in recent weeks has caused numerous problems for navigation, ecosystems and the economy, but at the same time it has revealed scenes that have been hidden beneath the surface of the river for decades.
