The countries of the region have expressed strong support for the USA and the American president, Donald Trump, after the American attacks on Venezuela and the claims of the capture of the country’s president, Nicolas Maduro, reports Anadolu.<\/p>\n

The president of Kosovo, in a post on social networks, expressed support for the USA and President Trump, who, according to her, “stood with the people of Venezuela and opposed Maduro’s narco-state”, protecting the USA and the rest of the world from cartels and organized crime.<\/p>\n

“The Venezuelan people deserve freedom, democracy and a future governed by law, not fear. Narco-terrorism and authoritarian rule threaten peace beyond national borders,” Osmani wrote.<\/p>\n

She emphasized that transatlantic unity and support for American leadership are essential “in confronting authoritarian regimes like the one in Venezuela,” arguing that the collective security and freedom of allied countries depend on the action of cooperation and the determination of the USA.<\/p>\n

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Elisa Spiropali, for her part, said that her country stands “unequivocally” with the USA and President Trump in their actions against the “narco-terrorist regime” of Venezuela.<\/p>\n

“The Venezuelan people have an undeniable right to freedom, democracy and the rule of law, and the international community should not remain silent in the face of oppression and As a staunch ally of the US and a member of NATO, Albania stands side by side with the American leadership in defense of democratic principles and global security.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Timco Mucunski, welcomed President Trump’s announcement that Maduro has been arrested and will face justice.<\/p>\n

“Responsibility matters. We stand by the US and the people Venezuela for freedom and democracy”, he wrote.<\/p>\n

Slovenia and Croatia have also reacted to the recent developments, which have stated that they closely monitor the situation and have called for a reduction in tensions, respect for international law, as well as protection of the civilian population.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Venezuelan government accused the US of attacks on civilian and military facilities in several states of the country and declared a state of national emergency.<\/p>\n

Later, US President Donald Trump confirmed on his Truth Social platform that the US had carried out a “large-scale attack”, adding that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife had been captured and fled the country.<\/p>\n

The attacks came after months of tensions with the US, which accused Maduro of involvement in drug trafficking. Maduro has denied that he is the leader of the cartel and has expressed his willingness to hold talks.<\/p>\n
