The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has announced a wide-ranging action by the Kosovo Police, carried out last evening in dozens of locations in Mitrovica and Vushtrri.
According to Sveçla, the operation was aimed at cracking down on suspicious activities related to the organization of pyramid schemes and illegal gambling.
From this action, a total of 26 people were arrested, while around 150,000 euros have been seized.
In a post on Facebook, Sveçla emphasized that this operation is part of the commitment of the institutions to fight crime throughout the country.
“In addition to the anti-drug action in Peja, last night another large action of the Kosovo Police took place in Mitrovica and Vushtrri, with the object of suspicious activities related to pyramid schemes and gambling. illegal. In this action, 26 people were arrested and about 150 thousand euros were seized”, he wrote.
He added that the institutions remain committed to law and order, stressing that the fight against criminality will continue without compromise in every part of the country.
