North Korean Leader: Geopolitical Crisis Makes Missile Tests Necessary

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has said the country’s missile tests are “necessary” after the “recent geopolitical crisis and complicated international events,” Anadolu reports.

Kim made the comments after Pyongyang on Sunday fired hypersonic missiles from the Ryokpho district of Pyongyang Municipality in a northeast direction, hitting targets 1,000 kilometers away, it reported. KCNA.

The North Korean leader’s comments came after the US carried out a pre-dawn strike in Venezuela on Saturday, capturing its president and first lady, who were later airlifted to New York.
