Albania, Christians celebrate Christmas

Christian believers in Albania celebrate Christmas today, where traditional masses and other activities were held in Tirana and other cities of the country, reports Anadolu.

The central masses were held in the Catholic Cathedral “St. Paul” and in the Orthodox Cathedral in Tirana.

Meanwhile, masses and ceremonies were also held in other cities of Albania, with the participation of believers, clergy and various personalities.

On the occasion of the Christmas holiday, the high officials of Albania and politicians have conveyed their congratulatory messages.

The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, Speaker of Parliament Niko Peleshi and Prime Minister Edi Rama have congratulated the Christian believers on the Christmas holiday.

“Merry Christmas, full of hope and prosperity for all our Christian friends. May this Christmas be a source of peace and joy, as well as an opportunity to spend happy moments with your dearest people”, Begaj wrote on social networks.

Albanian Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi also published a congratulatory message on social networks. “Merry Christmas. Peace, light and blessings in every home, surrounded by the love of the dearest people”, wrote Peleshi.

Christmas in Albania is marked as an official holiday.
