The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah, has emphasized that Israel’s efforts to destabilize the region are increasing, citing as an example Tel Aviv’s decision to recognize the breakaway Somaliland, reports Anadolu.

Turkey’s Communications Directorate announced that Erdogan and Al-Sabah discussed bilateral, regional and global issues in the telephone conversation.

According to the announcement, Erdogan said that the territorial integrity of Somalia must be supported.

The Turkish president also said that they are working to strengthen Turkey-Kuwaiti bilateral ties in all fields, adding that cooperation between the two countries will continue to grow.

Expressing the hope that the reconstruction of Gaza will begin as soon as a lasting ceasefire and peace are achieved, Erdogan said that cooperation between Turkey and Kuwait will be important in this process.
