The Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, at the international conference “Future Industry Minds 2026” which is being held in Cologne, spoke about the relations between Kosovo and Germany.

He said that the connection between the two countries is very strong, emphasizing the acceptance of thousands of Kosovars who were forcibly displaced during the war in Kosovo.

Kurti in his speech recalled that Germany was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Kosovo, as well as support for EU membership.

“Germany has been an advocate of the European path since the declaration of independence”, said Kurti.

In a part of his speech, Kurti emphasized the role of the Kosovar diaspora in Germany, which he described as a “living bridge between the two societies”, adding that thousands of Kosovar professionals are contributing to the transfer of European knowledge and standards to Kosovo.

The conference was also attended by over ten companies from Kosovo, which presented their capacities in IT, production, logistics and professional services.

Kosovo’s participation as a partner country in this forum is considered an important step for the international promotion of the country’s economy and the strengthening of the strategic partnership with Germany.

Businesses from Kosovo and large German companies participate in this conference, and it is a combination of economic forum, industry, B2B meetings and professional presentations.
