While the clarification of the final results of the candidates for deputies is awaited, a process that has postponed the formation of the local government consisting of PDK and LDK in Prizren, the composition of the executive of the Municipality of Prizren is expected to be clarified soon, namely the cabinet of the mayor Shaqir Totaj, who won the runoff on November 9 thanks to the support of the LDK, writes Gazeta e Prizren.
Since not yet it is known whether Kujtim Gashi will receive the mandate of the deputy, the position of the vice president has also remained unclear. The names of the directors have not yet been officially confirmed and have not passed to the Presidency, however, some names are already circulating in the public opinion.
According to the sources of the Prizren Gazette, Islam Ukimeri is expected to be appointed from the ranks of PDK for the position of Director of Public Services. Because of this, the directorate, as it is known, had a rift with the former director Celë Lamaj, who has resigned both from the positions in the PDK and from the municipal assembly.
According to the agreement reached between the PDK and the LDK before the runoff, which foresees the division of the municipal directorates, five sectors are expected to belong to the LDK.
Sources of the Prizren Gazette inform that The LDK, which supported the PDK candidate for president, is expected to lead the Directorate of Culture, Youth and Sports, the Directorate of Urbanism, as well as the Directorate of Health, sectors of particular importance for the civic life and urban development of the municipality.
Meanwhile, talks are still underway for the other directorates. Unofficially, the Social Welfare Directorate, the Agriculture Directorate, as well as a Property Tax sector, which is expected to be formed as a separate directorate, are included in the table.
In the city, concrete names are already being mentioned for directors from the ranks of the LDK, however the vice president of the LDK, Driton Selmanaj, has stated for the portal that there is still nothing official. “These days we conclude the consultations and decide”, he told GeP.
On the other hand, it is not yet known what position the KDTP will have, which also supported the PDK in the elections. Sources close to this party say that she may continue to lead the Cadastre Directorate, but the final decision is expected after the constitution of the local government.
The role of Duda Balje and the Social Democratic Initiative, which also contributed to the support of Shaqir Totaj in the election, remains unclear.
Next week is expected to clarify many issues about local government.
However, shortly before the Ri, the former director of Health, Simir Krasniqi was elected chairman of the Assembly of Prizren, while Furkan Bütüç from the Turkish community was elected its deputy chairman. / Gazeta e Prizren
