NATO Secretary General Rutte visits the Army of North Macedonia

The Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, at the “Ilinden” barracks in Skopje, visited the Army, which took place as part of his official visit to North Macedonia, reports Anadolu.

Rutte was received by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Llafčiski and the Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajllovski.

In the framework of the visit, the head of NATO addressed the members of the Army, emphasizing the contribution that North Macedonia makes within the framework of the Alliance.

“You really act on your capacities when it comes to the Forward Land Forces”, emphasized Rutte, emphasizing that “with this you ensure that we really protect every inch of the territory of the Alliance”.

During the visit, an inspection was carried out aligned units, as well as the equipment and tools available to the Light Infantry Battalion Group and the units declared as part of the Special Forces Battalion.

As a sign of gratitude for the contribution to strengthening the cooperation and support of the North Macedonian Army within the Alliance, Major General Llafčiski presented Rutte with the Great Plaque of Army.

The event was attended by Army generals and representatives from the Army and the Ministry of Defense.
