Orthodox believers in North Macedonia today celebrate Orthodox Easter, one of the most important holidays of the Christian calendar, reports Anadolu.

In the Cathedral “St. Klimenti Ohrid” in Skopje, the solemn liturgy of the Resurrection of Christ – Easter, which is the climax of the celebrations, was held last night.

The liturgical service was led by the Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia, g.g. Stefan, in an atmosphere filled with believers.

In the cathedral and other temples in the country, prayers and religious services were organized, while many citizens participated in family Easter celebrations.

Today during the day, believers are continuing their visits to churches, celebrating with their families.

Orthodox Easter marks the resurrection of Christ and is considered the most important holiday for the Orthodox community.
