The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has received an official letter from the Republican Congressman of the United States of America, Michael Lawler, in which the strong and bipartisan support of the American Congress for Kosovo is reconfirmed.

In his letter, Congressman Lawler thanked Prime Minister Kurti for the meeting they held together in New York, at the end of September, during Kurti’s visit to the USA, reports lajmi.net

He praised Kosovo’s progress in strengthening democratic institutions, increasing transparency and accountability, as well as promoting economic development.

Lawler emphasizes that support for Kosovo in the US Congress remains strong and bipartisan, citing as an example recent legislative actions, including the approval of the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2026.

According to him, these actions prove the continued commitment of the United States to the Euro-Atlantic future of Kosovo and are essential for the promotion of long-term stability, security and the rule of law in the Western Balkans.
