With emotional testimony from the parents of the victims, the trial continued in the courtroom in Idrizovo near the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje for the fire at the “Pulse” discotheque in Koçan, reports Anadolu.

At the beginning of the process, prosecutor Borçe Janev said that the trial is a step towards determining personal and institutional responsibility, stressing that justice is being sought.

The parents of the deceased children demanded an admission of guilt and justice. for the tragedy, emphasizing that their children did not die of natural causes, but were victims of serious failures.

The trial for the tragedy in which 63 people lost their lives while over 200 were injured, will continue on January 14. In the previous session, the evidentiary procedure started with the hearing of the witnesses proposed by the Prosecution.

All the accused at the beginning of the trial declared that they do not feel guilty for the tragedy.

In the early hours of the morning of March 16, a fire broke out in the night club “Pulse” in Koçan as a result of pyrotechnic devices during the entertainment evening, where 63 people lost their lives and over 200 were injured. injured.

Initial investigations after the incident revealed that the facility in question operated with a false license and for years it operated without meeting the necessary standards.

There are 37 people in the dock: managers, owners, former mayors of municipalities, inspectors, security personnel and state officials.
